Adding a Solar Water Feature to a boring garden will really spruce it up with just that simple addition. You really don’t want to over do it anyway as having too many non-vegetation accessories will make the garden look a little tacky. Having a few key, simple, and quality items will give it an elegant look while not seeming like you are trying too hard.
When trying to choose a Solar Water Feature you are not all that limited. There are plenty of things to choose from such as accessories for Ponds, Birdbaths, Solar Waterfalls, and other similar items. All of these can be as simple or as creative as you like. Keep in mind if you want full solar powered you wont be getting a massive flowing waterfall, but if you are just looking for something that looks nice and maybe adds a little atmosphere with some flowing water, these types of water features should do the trick.
For example, say you already have your own little birdbath in the middle of your garden and maybe want to spice it up just a bit and give it some life. One thing that many people enjoy is a “floating fountain” This will use the water in the birdbath to pump out a little bit of water and create a simple but pleasing fountain out of your birdbath without having to do any kind of construction or running of hoses to it.
Another great idea is the use of a Pond you have. You can add a little solar powered pump to it and give it a little bit of a flow to it, this in turn changes it into a better environment for having fish if that is something you would like. A submerged pump would also be effective if you wish to give your pond fountain feature. Just about anything you can think of works well with any of your pre-existing water features.
A very popular thing to do is creating a waterfall in your garden. There are products available that are premade and can simple be setup in your garden that has a self circulating water system so you can have a waterfall without any water source in the garden. You can also use your pre-existing water source such as a pond to add a solar powered waterfall too.
All of these work great but do need a very sunny area to be of good use. Obviously if its for a garden then sun shouldn’t be an issue. Most of these types of items do come with the option of a battery pack so your solar water feature can work at night and on cloudy days.
The great thing about doing this is not only does it really add some character to your garden or backyard, but the fact that it is effortless to do so. No construction or running of hoses or any kind of power cords. Its all set and ready to go! That by itself would sell me. Having something built into your water system can be a rewarding one but also a huge and costly chore. If you want something quick and easy. Try one of these.
